THE REQUIREMENT
Some Things Beneath The Surface Cannot Be Replaced.

Western Australia has an extraordinary density of heritage and archaeological significance - from Aboriginal cultural heritage sites across the State to colonial-era infrastructure, buried foundations, and artefacts in Perth's oldest precincts. When construction, development, or investigation work touches these areas, the excavation method matters more than anywhere else.
Dry vacuum excavation is recognised by archaeologists, heritage consultants, and regulatory bodies as the most controlled and least destructive excavation method available for sensitive environments. Material is removed with precision and deposited for examination. Nothing is disrupted beyond what is necessary. Nothing irreplaceable is lost to a blade or bucket.
APPLICATIONS
Where This Service Is Specified
Pre-development archaeological surveys and investigations where excavated material must be systematically removed and screened without disturbing stratification or context.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL
Archaeological Investigation
BUILT HERITAGE
Excavation around and beneath heritage-listed structures - exposing foundations, buried fabric, and service connections without the vibration and ground disturbance that mechanical methods cause.
Heritage-Listed Buildings
WATER & SEWAGE
Water Main Access
Clean, precise excavation around water and sewerage infrastructure for maintenance, repair, and connection work - without disrupting adjacent services or creating slurry.
Works subject to the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021 - where excavation must be managed to avoid impact on registered or unregistered cultural heritage sites and objects.
Aboriginal Cultural Heritage
ABORIGINAL HERITAGE
INVESTIGATION
Subsurface Investigation
Pre-development subsurface investigation to identify buried assets, former structures, contamination zones, and unknown underground conditions before earthworks begin.
WORKING WITHIN CONSTRAINTS
We Work To Your Consultant's Specification.
Heritage and archaeological work is rarely straightforward. Excavation is typically governed by management plans, heritage agreements, and the requirements of supervising consultants and regulatory bodies. Our team understands how to operate within these frameworks - following defined excavation boundaries, adjusting suction intensity as required, and working at the pace that careful investigation demands.
Works to archaeologist and heritage consultant specification
Adjustable suction intensity for precision control in sensitive material
Material deposited for screening and examination as required
No vibration, no ground shock, no collateral disturbance
Operates within management plan requirements and consent conditions
